History and origin

Badesha claim Suryavanshi descent. According to some traditions, this clan originated from the village Fatehgarh Churian of Amritsar district

The noted historian, K.C. Yadav says that most of the Jat tribes came to the Punjab in eleventh century during the days of Mahmud of Ghazni and Orhan. Badesha too are believed to have migrated to the province at this time.

Badesha, The Jats, like most South Asians, are mostly farmers; they are the dominant land owner caste, particularly in Panjab. However they are also found in many other professions.

Bandechhas are considered as Warrior

 tribe in Jatts. A large number of Bandechha Jats serve in the Indian Army, including the Jat Regiment, Rajputana Rifles, Sikh Regiment and the Grenadiers, among others. Badesha Jats also serve in the Pakistan Army particularly in the Punjab Regiment.

The Badesha Jat Clan were the private army for the Moderate movement in the 1800s. The Bandechhas fought off fundamental soldiers to gain back there land in 1809.
