and had a normal upbringing.
On November 18, 2009, Lisa arrives seeking help from Patrick's wife, Dr. Robin Scorpio
with a patient. She is immediately hired onto the staff at General Hospital. Though she first takes an interest in Matt Hunter, Patrick's brother, they never actually develop a relationship. She is also seen eating dinner with local mobster, Sonny Corinthos
, by his jealous ex-girlfriend, Olivia Falconeri
. Lisa soon becomes a third wheel for Patrick and Robin as she is new in town and doesn't know many people. When Robin leaves town to take her daughter Emma to visit her mother, Anna
in London
, Patrick helps Lisa move in to her new apartment. Spending time with Patrick brings back old feelings though she is very subtle about it. Lisa later performs a miracle surgery on Mike Corbin, Sonny's dad, when Patrick is forbidden from doing the surgery by chief of staff, Steve Webber.
Lisa has shown signs that she is still very interested in Patrick. Most notably, Lisa always steps in as Patrick's defender when he and Robin get into a fight. Also, Lisa continues to act friendly towards Robin. When she is fighting with Patrick, Lisa often embarrasses her and makes inappropriate comments about her HIV, further showing Lisa may still be in love with Patrick.
Lisa has taken an extreme disliking to Sonny Corinthos
and Jason Morgan. At one point, she walks in on Jason holding a gun to a patient's head, and is appalled when Robin comes to his defense. She also shows a disliking to Sonny on February 26, 2010 when she referred to him as a monster, regarding his shooting of Dante Falconeri
.
Steve and Lisa later go to a Tim McGraw
concert together after they discover they both like country music. Lisa wonders why such a decent guy like himself is still single. He opens to her about a past relationship that didn't turn out so well. The two then make another date.
However, Lisa's ever-present obsession with Patrick only becomes more obvious to Patrick and the newly-returned Robin. Robin finds defaced pictures of herself in her locker. She believes Lisa did it. On August 17, 2010, Lisa breaks into Robin and Patrick's house and steals all of Robin's HIV medicine. Then, Lisa takes Robin and Patrick's daughter Emma on an unannounced ice cream trip, which spooks the couple so much Patrick is prompted to confess his affair with Lisa to Robin. Enraged, Robin leaves him, much to Lisa's delight.
Lisa continues her efforts to prevent Patrick and Robin's reconciliation, and to deface Robin's character publicly. Trying to convince the hospital staff and the public at large Robin is the unstable, jealous one, Lisa leaps in front of Robin's moving car to pass it off as a hit-and-run
. Soon after, she leaves Emma's toy rabbit in a boiling hospital Bunsen burner
(an ode to Fatal Attraction
) for Robin to see. Perceiving this message as a threat to her child, Robin punches Lisa at the hospital, which prompts her suspension.
Although still separated, Robin and Patrick concoct a scheme to make their break-up seem even more volatile as a show for Lisa. They believe this will lower her guard. Patrick can coax some incriminating confession out of her that would clear Robin's name and identify Lisa as a dangerous threat. This works at first, but soon Lisa secretly catches on. She breaks into Robin's uncle Mac's
house, where Robin is staying, and replaces Robin's HIV meds with tranquilizers. Lisa soon retrieves the drugged Robin from a roadside accident and spirits her to an isolated cabin. Robin comes to. Lisa tries to convince her that she (Robin) arrived at the cabin willingly to cause Lisa harm and then blacked out. Robin attempts to flee the cabin in her drugged state, but winds up falling down an old well outside. Lisa ignores her cries for help and leaves her there.
Mac and Patrick anxiously search for Robin. When they find Emma alone and unharmed in the abandoned car, they suspect Lisa had something to do with Robin's disappearance. Mac interrogates Lisa and orders an unauthorized search of her apartment for evidence. When nothing incriminating is found, Mac directs his suspicion towards Patrick and arrests him.
After he's released, Patrick tracks down Robin and rescues her. Immediately after, Lisa confronts them and threatens suicide with a handgun. Patrick stops her and Mac arrests her. She is sent to a mental institution. When Lisa gets released from Shadybrook Sanitarium, she tries to get Patrick to sleep with her, again. Lisa gets a room at the Metro Court when she sees Patrick there.
the syringe. Dr. Steve Webber and Nikolas Cassadine
give chase but she gives them the slip. When the cops arrive, they find no proof Lisa did anything to Robin. Nonetheless, as Lisa had no reason to be in Robin's room either way, Steve puts her on probation. O.R. privileges are revoked, she is transferred to the E.R. so Steve can keep an eye on her, and she will be fired if she does provoke Robin in any way or even goes near her again. To make matters even worse (for her), the hearing to discuss Lisa's petition against Robin has been canceled, thus ensuring Robin will remain at the hospital. Later, she meets up with Johnny, who tells her he intends to keep the syringe in case he needs a favor from her.
On December 5, Ethan Lovett
comes to General Hospital and tells Lisa that Johnny needs private medical attention. She goes to his apartment where Johnny demands she patch him up, or else he will tell Steve about the syringe. After she stitches him up, Johnny's girlfriend Olivia
shows up. Lisa leaves.
Eventually, fed up with Lisa's vendetta against Patrick and Robin, and the trouble the syringe has caused him, Johnny decides to end it one way or another. To this end, he sets up a treasure hunt
, leaving several clues for Lisa and Robin to find and see who gets the syringe first. When the clues lead Lisa to rummage through Steve's office, she is caught in the act by Steve himself. Steve easily sees through Lisa's lies. Declaring he is fed up with all the drama, informs Lisa she will definitely be fired if the syringe does surface. Lisa turns to Johnny for help. Johnny refuses and reveals the treasure hunt was in fact meant for her to finally learn to live for herself and get over her obsession with Patrick.
Robin finds the syringe first. She confronts Lisa. Lisa attempts to take the syringe by force Robin responds by assaulting her and knocking her down before fleeing to the hospital with Lisa in hot pursuit.
Robin is delayed from proving Lisa's guilt when Jake Spencer, the son of Elizabeth Webber
, is hit by a car and dies on the operating table In the process, Patrick and Robin finally reconcile completely. When Carly's daughter, Josslyn Jacks, is diagnosed with advanced kidney cancer, Elizabeth is persuaded to let them have one of Jake's kidneys. Lisa helps with the transplant.
Lisa takes advantage of Robin's distraction to steal the syringe and dispose of it. It is later discovered Lisa is one of the suspects in Jake's hit-and-run. Forensics find no evidence Lisa was responsible. Mac nonetheless cites her for reckless driving
, a charge he intends to make stick. Patrick confronts Lisa and tells her that he is convinced she did it, as she is "the only one of [them] soulless enough to kill a little boy and duck responsibility." Lisa insists all she ever did was love him. Patrick makes it clear nothing will ever change his opinion of her. After he leaves with Robin, Lisa, in a childish rage, shreds a photo of Robin in an HIV handout with a scalpel.
. Lisa begins giving her hydrocodone
pills, which she passes off as non-addictive herbal supplements to calm her nerves, and visiting the Drake home while Kristina is babysitting. On one particular visit, she drugs Kristina and bugs
the house. Subsequently, she steals Patrick's credit card
and makes elaborate and romantic purchases with it while creating screen names for herself and Patrick on a lovers hideaway website to make it appear the two are having an affair, and also visits the home while Patrick and Robin are out and takes pictures of their basement while researching home gas leaks.
Ethan discovers Lisa's actions when he recognizes Kristina's pills as hydrocodone. He informs Johnny, who, realizing Lisa is still obsessed with Patrick, warns the latter as such. Nevertheless, Lisa seemingly causes a gas leak at the Drakes' while they are out, She locks Robin in the basement as soon as she gets home, telling Robin that Patrick will pay for what he did to her when he is arrested for Robin's murder. After covering her tracks upstairs, Lisa goes down into the basement and checks Robin's seemingly lifeless body, only for Robin, alive and well, to revive.
At that moment, Mac and Patrick come into the basement. Mac promptly arrests Lisa for attempted murder
The entire thing was all a set-up to catch Lisa. As it turns out, Robin and Patrick had earlier figured out Lisa had stolen Patrick's credit cards. Kristina had informed them of Lisa's visits to the house. Having discovered Lisa's research into home gas leaks, Robin and Patrick waited for her to arrive. Patrick turned off the gas from outside when Robin entered the house. Finally, Robin has recorded all of Lisa's threats on her cell phone, including her confession to trying to kill Robin. Lisa swears revenge on Patrick and Robin as Mac drags her away.
At the police station, Lisa calls Johnny and begs him to help her, but he refuses. When she attempts to play on his feelings for Claudia
, Johnny merely regards her with disgust and leaves.
On May 31, Patrick visits Lisa in Shadybrook, where she gets under his skin by declaring he will never be truly happy with Robin. Subsequently, Lisa escapes from Shadybrook while in the midst of being moved to another facility.
Lisa confronts Johnny. Desperate not to go to prison, first begs him to kill her, then to have her start over somewhere else. Though Johnny eventually agrees, his father, Anthony, secretly convinces Lisa to continue with her revenge plans, even offering to help.
breaks into the conference room and attempts to peacefully talk her down, but Lisa dismisses him as pathetic. Maxie boldly stands up to her and states she is pathetic. Outraged, Lisa attempts to shoot her. Spinelli takes the bullet. She refuses to allow the doctors to aid Spinelli as she continues the mock trial, and insinuates she will commit suicide after killing the hostages, Lisa then shoots Patrick in the arm. Jason and Dante finally override the lockdown and break into the conference room, where they seemingly knock Lisa unconscious. As everyone scrambles to rush Spinelli to an operating room, Lisa recovers and keeps Patrick at bay while holding a syringe full of drain cleaner
to Robin's throat.
Patrick attempts to talk Lisa down from doing so, and then grabs her. In the ensuing struggle, Lisa accidentally sticks herself with the syringe and slips into a coma, with the doctors uncertain if she'll ever come out of it.
In early-mid October, Lisa stabs Anthony with a nail, knocks out an Unnamed Nurse at GH/First Mate Briggs on the yacht, injects Johnny with an unknown substance, chloroforms: Elizabeth (also threw her overboard), Patrick and Robin. Lisa tries to inject Robins blood into Patrick, but Robin get lose and stops her. Later, Lisa and Robin fight again on the deck, Lisa pushes Robin into some stairs where she loses consciousness. Robin wakes up and Lisa has disappeared. On November 9, 2011 Carly Corinthos
