As a result of the new dual affiliations, WTHI no longer carries programming from TheCoolTV. On the same day that Fox and MyNetworkTV programming begins airing on WTHI-DT2, the subchannel will debut a new 30-minute primetime weeknight-only newscast at 10 p.m. To preserve bandwidth for the MyFox10 channel on 10.2, the live feed of Storm Team 10 Fury Radar was removed for the second time on August 31, 2011.

WTHI-TV's current studio building in downtown Terre Haute, which is shared with former sister stations WTHI-FM and WWVR
(which remain owned by Emmis Communications), will be demolished in 2012 to accommodate parking for a new office building to be constructed nearby. The building was constructed as a garment factory in 1906, but has housed WTHI-TV and WTHI-FM since 1954. The station will relocate to a new location, which it intends to find elsewhere in the downtown area; this will completely separate WTHI-TV from WTHI-FM, which will move into the new office building.
in 1985, and modified to Action 10 News WTHI in 2001. On September 18, 2006, the branding was changed to News 10. A new logo and graphics package was also premiered. The news graphics they choose were the old Gannett graphics. It is currently the only station in the country to use the mid-2000s era Gannett graphics from broadcast graphic design company Giant Octopus.
On April 5, 2011 David Wire announced on News 10 This Morning that it would be his last morning as the morning/midday weather anchor. He was promoted to chief meteorologist, after Kevin Orpurt stepped down. Kevin is still with WTHI-TV as the midday weather anchor and weekend weather anchor. Pamela Gardener takes the morning shift.
Until September 12, 2011, WTHI-TV did not air local newscasts weeknights in the 5 p.m. timeslot, unlike most CBS affiliates in the Eastern Time Zone. On that date WTHI debuted a new half-hour 5 p.m. newscast; the newscast replaced the daytime talk show Dr. Phil
, which moved to NBC affiliate WTWO, whose 5 p.m. newscast was moved to its sister station WAWV-TV, which switched its affiliation from Fox to ABC on September 1. The syndicated entertainment newsmagazine Inside Edition
fills the remaining half-hour before the 6 p.m. newscast.
